During one of Melbourne’s now infamous wind events, our gorgeous and much-loved ornamental pear tree experienced a branch splitting.One large crack and we could hear it from our lounge room. It looked like the large branch was going to break off anytime, and if it did it would’ve potentially hit a passer-by and/or caused damage to our fence, roller door or a neighbour’s garage.Despite the lateness of the hour (about 10.30), the SES came out and put up tape and warned neighbours about the imminent danger, and we reached out to Harry after finding him online (our regular arborist unfortunately didn’t respond to our emails or text messages).By this time it was around 11pm and the winds were still quite strong - Harry answered on our first call and quickly sent through a quote after we provided a video and photos.After we gave him the go-ahead, he was at our place within a half hour and within an hour had removed enough branches toremove any immediate threat and secured the tree, so we could sleep without stressing about the branch coming down.He came back the next day with his crew to finish what was a huge job - I hadn’t realised how large the tree actually was!!The care they took in getting the tree down safely was a testament to their obvious experience.They cut some of the tree up for firewood, and tidied up and removed the rest of it while on-site.I would highly recommend Harry and his crew-he was responsive, knowledgeable, polite and despite the tree being larger than we had described it, stuck to his original quote.If we need an arborist again in the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to get him back.

Harry and the team arrived on Sunday afternoon to remove 14 huge stumps. A major job.. The job was carried out most efficiently and professionally. They even had to move garden brick borders to get to the stumps. They replaced the borders perfectly once the stumps were removed. The existing plants were protected as well.
